Paulini Curuenavuli Could Face Jail Time Following Bribery Charges

Actress, and singer, Paulini Curuenavuli has allegedly been caught bribing a government employee under investigation for links to a bikie gang.

The Australian Idol contestant could face a maximum jail time of seven years if she is found guilty of the charges.

According to Sunrisethe 34-year-old allegedly bribed a NSW Roads and Maritime Services employee with a sum of $800 in return for a fake, unrestricted NSW driver’s licence, despite being unqualified to drive.

The Channel 7 Breakfast show also reported that the NSW employee has already been under police investigation for giving out fake licenses to friends, family, and associates of the Rebels bikie gang. 

Paulini is best known for her time on Australian Idol in 2003, placing fourth in the first season of the reality TV show. Following the show she hit the charts with a number spot for her song Angel Eyes.

The star has most recently found success as the lead actress and singer in national stage show Bodyguard: The Musical.

Curuenavuli is set to face court next week.
