New Book Claims Prince Philip “Cheated On The Queen With Famous Women”

The allegations come just days before the couple's 70th wedding anniversary

Rumours that Prince Philip has had a series of affairs throughout his marriage to Queen Elizabeth II have resurfaced in a new book, released just days before the couple’s 70th wedding anniversary.

Though none of the allegations have been confirmed (and the pair has always denied any marital issues), My Husband and I: The Inside Story of 70 Years of Royal Marriage names a string of both famous women and friends, including stage actress Pat Kirkwood, TV presenter Katie Boyle and Susan Barrantes, the mum of Sarah Ferguson, his son Prince Andrew’s former wife.

Rumours of The Duke of Edinburgh’s romantic relationships have plagued the royal couple’s marriage for years.

The Queen was once forced to make a rare statement in 1957 in response to claims her husband had been meeting a woman in secret.

“It is quite untrue that there is any rift between the Queen and the Duke,” her spokesperson said at the time, as reported by The Mirror.

Prince Philip also denied affairs in 1992, telling a reporter: “Have you ever stopped to think that, for the past 40 years, I have never moved anywhere without a policeman accompanying me?

“So how the hell could I get away with anything like that?”

Only one of Duke of Edinburgh’s respected biographers has insisted he has had affairs while married to the Queen.

“The Duke of Edinburgh has had affairs – yes, full-blown affairs and more than one,” Sarah Bradford wrote in her book.
