Prince William And Kate Middleton Are Apparently “Besotted” By Their New Puppy Following Lupo’s Passing

Their four-legged friend was a gift from James Middleton

With 2020 seeing the passing of their beloved dog, Lupo, Prince William and Kate Middleton look to be welcoming a new member to their royal family this year.

And while their beloved cocker spaniel is surely irreplaceable, The Telegraph has reported that the famous five have acquired a new puppy, thanks to Kate’s brother, James Middleton.

According to the publication, their new cocker spaniel, whose name is yet to be revealed, “was given to the family by the duchess’s brother, James Middleton, before Lupo died.”

But naturally, that’s not all. Wanting to make sure that the new Cambridge puppy was just as much a part of the family as Lupo was, Kate’s brother bestowed Kate and William with none other than Lupo’s niece.

On the other hand, another source told the Mail that the royal family are thrilled with their new addition and that “the new puppy is adorable and the whole family are besotted.”

The source continued, “They were devastated when Lupo passed away, as any dog owner will understand, but got the new puppy before he died. It was hoped that a younger dog would give Lupo some company and give him a little more life and energy.”

Back in November, Kate and William shared a sweet photo of their beloved Lupo to pay tribute to their pet. In a personal message, the Cambridges wrote, “Very sadly last weekend our dear dog, Lupo, passed away. He has been at the heart of our family for the past nine years and we will miss him so much. – W & C.”

While the Cambridge’s latest pup is yet to make her first public appearance, here’s hoping that 2021 will see more positivity for the royal family.
