‘The Crown’ Has Found The Perfect Prince William For It’s Upcoming Fifth Season

There’s a strong family resemblance.

Netflix’s The Crown has just found the perfect Prince William for it’s upcoming fifth season. As revealed by Variety, taking on the role of the teen heir-apparent will be 13-year-old Senan West, the real life son of Dominic West who will be portraying Prince Charles.

While there is no news on who will be portraying Prince Harry, Dominic’s other son Francis, 12, may be in for a shot given his resemblance to his dad and brother (he might have to dye his hair red though…)

Pictures of Senan (and indeed his brother Francis) are scarce, but the Daily Mail obtained several snaps which you can view here.

The highly-anticipated fifth season will pick up in the 1990s, with a whole new cast of A-listers set to star as England’s Royal family.

Joining the West’s will be Imelda Staunton (whom you may recognise as antagonist Dolores Umbridge from the Harry Potter franchise) as Queen Elizabeth, Jonathan Pryce (of Game Of Thrones and The Two Popes fame) as Prince Philip, and our very own Elizabeth Debicki as Princess Diana.

Of course, it’s sad to say goodbye to the likes of Olivia Coleman, Tobias Menzies, Josh O’Connor and Emma Corrin who made up the incredible cast in the third and fourth seasons, we’re excited to see these talented actors herald in a new age for The Firm.

The 90’s were arguably one of the most prolific periods in the family’s history. Not only did the Princess Of Wales serve countless iconic looks (the “revenge dress” comes to mind), three out of four of the Queen’s children divorced from their partners and a fire ravaged parts of Windsor Castle, the royal’s ancestral home.

For the family, a series of turbulent “PR disasters” throughout the 90s severely damaged their public image, including Princess Diana’s infamous revelation about “three people” being involved in her marriage to Princes Charles during her now infamous Martin Bashir interview.

According to reports, the sixth season will cover the early 2000s, including Prince William’s time at St Andrews University in Scotland where he met his wife Kate Middleton.
