Mere days after confirming Scarlett Johansson was pregnant, her husband Colin Jost has confirmed she’s now given birth to a new baby boy.
The excitable new dad took to Instagram to confirm the news with his followers, writing: “Okay we had a baby. His name is Cosmo. We love him very much.”
He added: “Privacy would be greatly appreciated,” and alongside the update, his caption including some cheeky hashtags #wegotawaywithitforalongtime, #nokidspolicy and #we’regoingtodisneyworld.
Colin confirmed his wife was pregnant with their first child together over the weekend while performing a standup gig in Connecticut.
According to Page Six, he told the audience: “We’re having a baby, it’s exciting,” adding that he couldn’t wait to be a dad.
It came after months of speculation and various reports claiming the Black Widow star was pregnant.
Scarlett kept a low-key presence throughout the pregnancy, refraining from in-person interviews and only making appearances via Zoom from the shoulders up.
Jost himself acknowledged the feat in his announcement today, with his hashtag claiming “We got away with it for a long time,” a testament to their efforts.
While Cosmo is the couple’s first child together, Johansson also shares a six-year-old daughter, Rose, with her former husband Romain Dauriac—no doubt she’ll now be happily taking up big sister duties.
Scarlett and Colin, who is an actor and comedian of Saturday Night Live notoriety, got married in October 2020.
The couple kept the occasion very private with only close friends and family present.
