We all remember Meryl Streep’s immortal line: “Florals for spring? Groundbreaking.” And while I adore the actress, I must respectfully disagree. Florals for spring really do set my heart on fire.
And even though Australians are easing out of summer and into autumn, this is precisely when brands begin unveiling their Spring/Summer 26 collections.
So you can imagine my delight when Leo Lin’s latest offering — aptly titled Golden Hour — arrived with saturated hues and yes, you guessed it… florals. The collection is a vibrant parade that feels somewhat akin to bottled sunshine.
Timed to coincide with Lunar New Year, the Australian-Chinese luxury designer has drawn inspiration from the Year of the Horse — a symbol of energy, movement and new beginnings. “Lunar New Year is a moment deeply rooted in culture, connection, and new beginnings,” says Lin.
The result? A collection awash with red, pink and other celebratory hues, designed for weddings, long lunches, or simply as an excuse to treat yourself.
And for those who share a desire to honour Lunar New Year — or simply enjoy a casual game of Mahjong (trust me, it’s fun) — you’ll be pleased to know the brand has also released a limited-edition Mahjong set.
So whatever the occasion you’re shopping for (or lack thereof), here are my favourite pieces from the collection — Mahjong set included.
