Sophie's not the only one to call out influencers and other celebrities for the promotion of problematic products recently, either. Earlier this year, Jameela Jamil blasted Khloe Kardashian for a now-deleted post promoting Flat Tea Tummy shakes, writing: "If you're too irresponsible to: a) own up to the fact that you have a personal trainer, nutritionist, probable chef, and a surgeon to achieve your aesthetic, rather than this laxative product...And b) tell them the side effects of this NON-FDA approved product, that most doctors are saying aren't healthy [...] then I guess I have to."
Former marie claire cover star Sophie Turner is undoubtedly one of the best Hollywood celebrities on Instagram, so much so that she basically trademarked the saying 'that's the tea' after posting random videos of herself drinking - and spilling - tea to her 15.4m followers.
Overnight, the Game of Thrones actress used her platform to somewhat jokingly shade influencer culture and the potentially harmful products some influencers spruik online, such as weight loss tea and supplements.
Using a new filter which makes cheeks rosy and lips plump, Sophie put on an American accent and said to the camera, "Hey guys, just kind of going for my influencer look today."
"Today I just wanted to promote this new powdered stuff that you put in your teeth, and basically it makes you shit your brains out and is totally really really bad for me to be promoting to young women and young people everywhere," she said.
"But I don't really give a fuck because I'm getting paid money," she added. "Influencer life!!"
The video is still live on her Instagram stories, but you can also watch it below:
