Love or hate American football, chances are the upcoming Super Bowl (airing in Australia on February 3, 2020) has you excited. We mean, who in the world *won’t* be tuning in to watch ‘90s popstars Jennifer Lopez and Shakira join forces for what is surely going to be one of the best half-time shows ever?! Demi Lovato is also locked in to sing the anthem at the start of the game to round out the epic all-female line-up of powerhouse voices.

Another highlight of the Super Bowl every year is the ads. Companies fork out more than US$5 million for one 30-seconds spot, which may seem ridiculous, but when you consider over 100 million viewers tune in every year, it’s worth every penny.

These ads aren’t your ordinary ads either. They’re star-studded and memorable. Already, teasers are floating around the Internet. Hyundai has teamed up with four Boston-linked celebrities, actors Chris Evans and John Krasinski, comedian Rachel Dratch, and Boston Red Sox legend David Ortiz; Old Town Road singers Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus feature in a Western-themed ad for Cool Ranch Doritos; and MC Hammer reveals the inspiration behind his U Can’t Touch This song in a Cheetos ad.

There are two ads in particular that we’re most looking forward to seeing, however no teasers have been released for them yet. Pepsi have created a 30-second commercial starring Missy Elliott and H.E.R. to promote Pepsi Zero Sugar in a matte black can, and Facebook will debut their first-ever Super Bowl ad, which will star Chris Rock and Sylvester Stallone.

The ads we’re not looking forward to? US presidential candidates Donald Trump and Michael Bloomberg have both bought out a 30-second spot. *Snore*.

Here’s a sneak peek at what we can expect to see in the ad breaks during the 2020 Super Bowl game between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers:

Olay

Hyundai

Pop-Tarts

Doritos

Cheetos

Avocados From Mexico

Sabra Hummus
