Royal reporter Omid Scobie clarified that Meghan and Harry opted for an environmentally-friendly holiday card this year, and decided to share it with their patronages.
Scobie said, "Merry Christmas from Sussexes! Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan opted for an environmentally friendly e-card this year, sharing a new family portrait with friends, family, colleagues and charities (including all their patronages)."
The Sussex family are currently spending some time in Canda with Meghan's mother, Doria Ragland. They will be skipping the annual Christmas Day church service at Sandringham with the Queen.
Prince George and Princess Charlotte are expected to make their debut this year, alongside parents Kate Middleton and Prince William.
