An 18-year-old Romanian model who has sold her virginity for 2 million pounds to an unnamed Hong Kong businessman claims she got the idea from watching the 1998 Demi Moore film Indecent Proposal, in which a man offers up $1m to sleep with a married woman.
But unlike Moore’s character in the Hollywood drama, Aleexandra Kefren has expressed little remorse or embarrassment over her decision – telling UK TV show This Morning that she “wanted to sell my virginity rather than giving it to a future friend who might have left me anyway. She went on to say that she thinks “many other girls have the same attitude – how many would possibly forgo their first time in retrospect if they could have $2 million instead?”
Putting her plan in motion late last year, the teenager contacted German agency Cinderella Escorts, which told The Daily Mail it has since been swamped with requests from nearly 300 other women who are wanting to sell their virginity.
While Kefren originally claimed she would use the money to help her parents buy a home, it was later reported that her family are under no financial pressure and are devastated by her decision. “They begged her not to do it but she told them ‘I’m 18 and I can do what I like with my body,’” Kefren’s uncle told The Daily Mail.
“They have threatened her and said if she goes ahead with selling herself they will not consider her their daughter anymore. It is a terrible situation. Her mother was in tears and it was just awful.”
Kefren told the shocked hosts of the This Morning program that Cinderella Escorts —who are taking 20 per cent of the proceeds — will be accompanying her to the meeting with her buyer, who she said seems “very friendly”.
