Kate Winslet just dropped a major bombshell which as totally changed the way we think of Titanic lovers, Jack and Rose.
During an interview with Stephen Colbert on The Late Show, the actress revealed that she didn’t audition for the role of Rose beside Leonardo DiCaprio.
Furthermore, the actor who almost nabbed Leo’s role is none other than Matthew McConaughey!
Can you imagine?!
“I auditioned with Matthew [McConaughey] – isn’t that weird?” Winslet told Colbert. “Never said that in public before!” she continued.
During the interview, Winslet also revealed more Titanic trivia: that her and Leo’s infamous car sex scene wasn’t actually in the movie’s script.
“I don’t think it was scripted. I think we came up with it on the day,” she recalled. “It did get quite sweaty in the car, but we were spritzed down with spray Evian bottles to make us look really like in the throes of…”
