A Day In The Life Of Victoria’s Secret Model Victoria Lee

We spend 24 hours with the catwalk queen...
Ever wondered how a model prepares for a fashion show? We spent 24 hours with Australian catwalk queen Victoria Lee to find out…
6am. I’m an early riser. I like to wake up, put the kettle on and make a cup of mint tea (too early for coffee at this stage). I like to use this time in the morning to wake up, stretch and just enjoy the quiet of the morning for a few minutes.

6.15am. I have a quick shower, put on my SPF moisturiser, throw my hair into a pony tail and put on my work out gear. I’m heading to Fluid Form Pilates in Clovelly for a quick class. I love being active especially in the morning, I feel it sets me up for a great day. Today is a shoot for the upcoming David Jones Spring Summer Collections Launch. I make sure I pack my water and lots of snacks in my bag – almonds, fruits, a protein bar and some dark chocolate.
7.45am: Finished my session and everything hurts. But in a good way. I have a few minutes before my pick up so I run to a nearby cafe and grab coffee.

8.05am: Now in the car on the way to the shoot, it’s on location in Bellevue Hill. In the car I call my family to say hello and touch base. It’s nice to be in the same time zone.

9am: Arrive on location and head straight into Hair and Make Up. I have my breakfast in the make-up chair trying my best to keep still.

11am: We begin shooting, the location is a beautiful home, I’m enjoying looking at the architecture and beautiful view. There’s a lovely vibe on set.

12 noon: I am onto my second coffee of the day and I have a quick snack between changes.

3.30pm: We wrap the shoot and I’m heading back to David Jones at Bondi Junction. I have my eye on a few Spring Summer Pieces I want to pick up in the store. I also grab a late lunch in the Food Hall.

5pm: Back at the hotel, I chill out, have a cup of tea, remove my make-up and catch up on any e-mails or phone calls. Mum and Dad are arriving soon from my hometown Narrandera in rural NSW. They are coming to the show; it’s always so nice having them in the audience.

5.45pm: Time for rehearsals. The show is at Fox Studios, I’m looking forward to seeing the set – it’s a greenhouse theme for ‘House Of Spring’. We do a full run through – making sure outfit changes and timing are seamless.

7pm: Back in the car, it’s home time. The show looks amazing!

7.30pm: Mum, Dad have arrived and we have a quick dinner together at Soy, my favourite sushi restaurant.

9.45/10pm: It’s been a big day! I have a quick shower and hop into bed. I really try to maintain eight hours of sleep when my schedule is busy. I’m looking forward to the show tomorrow.
