Ellen DeGeneres won not one, not two, but three awards at the 2017 People’s Choice Awards today, scooping up Favourite Animated Movie Voice, Favourite Daytime TV Host and Favourite Comedic Collaboration.

While impressive on their own, the wins are significant because they bring Ellen’s total to 20 People’s Choice Awards in her career – more than any in the history of the awards ceremony.

Close friend Justin Timberlake presented all three awards to Ellen at once as part of a tribute to the talk show host, with 20 male models each holding an award.

In true Ellen fashion, she began her acceptance speech, somewhat bizarrely, by expressing her love of mashed potatoes, before proceeding to thank her fans and express a wish that animals could have voted too.
