What Happened To Crystal Theobald?
Residing in Riverside, California, 24-year-old Crystal, a mother of two, was shot in the head and killed while her car was at an intersection. Her brother, Justin Theobald, and boyfriend at the time were in the car at the time of the attack, while her mother Belinda was in the car in front and witnessed the unfolding events.
According to the doco, Crystal was gunned down by members of a local gang, 5150, in what police have since claimed to be a case of mistaken identity.
Who Was Responsible For Crystal Theobald's Death?
Over the course of a decade, Belinda created two fake MySpace accounts and used them to reach out to potential suspects in her daughter's case. In 2016, her efforts started to see results, which gave new light to what really happened on the night her daughter was killed, which eventually lead to police arresting those involved.
On January 23rd 2020, William Sotelo was sentenced to 22 years in prison for his role in the murder of Crystal Theobald.
