Adam Hilarie met Hailey Rose Bustos on dating website, PlentyOfFish. He picked her up, they went bowling and then went back to his place for another drink.
After their date Bustos texted the single father about what a great time she had had and that she wanted to meet up again the following day.
The next night Hilarie, 27, was shot dead in the kitchen of his Central Florida home.
According to The Washington Post, the 18-year-old woman showed up at Hilarie’s door with three men, at least one of whom had a gun.
“Hilarie was begging for his life, he was not putting up any kind of fight, and was telling them that he had a 5-year-old daughter,” according to arrest reports obtained by the Orlando Sentinel.
After shooting the man, the suspects left the scene with a number of items including TVs and Xbox and and Iphone.
Police say Bustos was reportedly paid $50 for her role in the robbery.
Hilarie’s brother Johnny Jackson told The Washington Post was a loving father who was always cracking jokes.
“He really loved his daughter,” Jackson said. “That was his world.”
