New Details Emerge About Death Of Woman Found In Sydney Alleyway

She had discovered her boyfriend was married, but estranged from his wife

Two days on from the tragic death of a woman who fell from the 23rd floor of her apartment in Sydney, new information has come to light about her life and relationships.

The woman, identified as 34-year-old Hee Kyung Choi, was a finance worker who had been dating Korean-born tiler June Oh Seo for several weeks, news.com.au reports.

Following her death, Mr Seo perched on the edge of the apartment building in Chatswood, sparking a 12-hour standoff with police.

Court documents allege that Mr Seo assaulted Ms Choi in the early hours of Monday morning. He has been formally refused bail on a charge of domestic violence-related assault occasioning actual bodily harm and remains behind bars.

According to The Daily Telegraph, Ms Choi had reportedly threatened to leave her boyfriend after she discovered he was already married. Mr Seo was estranged from his wife and also had a son.

Ms Choi’s friend Moossoo Yoon told the publication that she had seemed “very strong and positive when I spoke to her on Thursday”.

“I told her she was now of the marrying age and she said there was someone but it was complicated and she wasn’t happy,” Ms Yoon said.

“She had rowed with him over that the day she died.”

Ms Choi’s body was discovered by a pedestrian in a lane near Chatswood train station on Monday morning at about 6.30am.
