When it comes to the Academy Awards, it’s hard to keep your eyes off the fashion. However, if we drag our attention away, we’ll come to see some of the most memorable and glamorous Oscars beauty looks to ever grace a red carpet.
From Audrey Hepburn’s micro fringe at the 1954 Oscars, to Zoë Kravitz’s rendition of it in 2022, we see the styles that just keep coming back throughout the years.
As far as award ceremonies go, the Oscars is as much of a big deal as they get. Thus, we see many celebrities playing up the glamour, with chic, but not necessarily daring looks. It’s not about being the most ostentatious, it’s about exuding that Old Hollywood glamour and reminding loyal watchers of the gravitas of the movie star.
While the makeup is quite simple and glamourous, the hair is more playful. From Nicole Kidman’s 2004 updo that channelled a kind of curly mohawk (made oh-so-chic) to Halle Berry’s impressive afro at the 2017 awards, there have been so many hair looks that we can’t help but celebrate.
The makeup and hair trends may come and go over the eras, but these looks will forever have a place in our hearts.
The Best Beauty Looks Of All Time At The Oscars (Academy Awards)
Zendaya, 2024

Anya Taylor-Joy, 2024

Florence Pugh, 2024

Emma Stone, 2024

Emma Stone took home her second acting Oscar in 2024. While we adored her seafoam green Louis Vuitton gown, we also loved her rosy pink, pared back makeup.
The look was created by Emma’s make-up artist, Rachel Goodwin, with 100% Charlotte Tilbury products.
While Emma’s flawless complexion was achieved with a combination of creams, serums, mists, two shades of foundation and concealer, the highlight for us were her slightly rouged and highlighted cheeks, which were completed with the Beauty Light Wand in ‘Spotlight’ and the Matte Beauty Blush Wand in the shade ‘Pillow Talk Pink Pop’, both by Charlotte Tilbury.
Meanwhile, the lips used a combo of Lip Cheat lip liner in ’90s Pink’, Charlotte’s Hollywood Beauty Icon Lipstick K.I.S.S.I.N.G, also in ’90s Pink’, and finished with Pillow Talk Plumpgasm — which is yet to be released to the public.
