Victoria Beckham Used This Product To Rescue Her Over-Plucked Brows

But it comes with one alarming side effect

As anyone haunted by bad sartorial choices made in the ‘90s knows, some are harder to move on from than others. Case in point: the ‘90s skinny brow (although Bella Hadid is trying her best to bring it back). But Victoria Beckham has found a way to rescue her brows from pluckings past: Latisse growth serum.

Although technically designed for eyelashes, Beckham recently told Into The Gloss that she uses Latisse “on my brows as well.” A prescription-only product made by Allergan, the same pharmaceutical company behind Botox, Latisse lists bimatoprost as its active, growth-inducing ingredient – and according to VB, it works a treat.

“When you buy it, you get a bunch of these little brushes to go with the drops,” Beckham explains. “I will use it along the bottom part of my lashes and the top… I’ll use a generous amount on my eyebrows as well, and my brows have completely grown back. I have gone through phases where I’ve stopped using it, and I noticed a big difference.”

But there’s a catch: as Beckham notes, “you have to make sure you don’t get it in your eye because you can get brown spots that way.”

Brown spots? On your eye? According to the ‘adverse reactions’ on the Latisse website, “patients should be advised about the potential for increased brown iris pigmentation which is likely to be permanent.” Let us debunk that: it could turn your blue eyes brown, and make brown eyes darker again. Also: “iris colour changes seen with administration of bimatoprost ophthalmic solution may not be noticeable for several months to years.”

Users also have to be wary of eyelid pigmentation and unwanted hair growth on areas that come into contact with the product.

If you’re after a safer VB beauty recommendation, she also loves this $15 natural body moisturiser.
