Despite being brunette for the entirety of her modelling career (to differentiate herself in the industry from her older sister), Bella Hadid has been slowly going back to her natural hair colour of blonde over the past few months.
Stepping out in Los Angeles yesterday, the 22-year-old debuted her lightest shade yet, marking the first time we’ve seen her with blonder hair than Gigi.
Coincidentally, Gigi, who is dating former Bachelorette USA contestant Tyler Cameron, has slowly been going darker with her locks over the past few months:
Bella’s transition to blonde started six months ago when she took to Instagram in March revealing the change was a request by photographer, Mertalas. “Back to dirty blonde, back to my roots ! Per @mertalas wishes 💫,” she wrote at the time.
Of course, she couldn’t have planned for it, but given her relationship with The Weeknd has come to an end right as her hair transition is finishing, we’re dubbing this look ‘break up blonde’.
