‘MAFS’ Bryce And Melissa Have Announced That They Are Engaged And Pregnant With Twins

Yes, you read that correctly.

It’s been only three months since the season finale of Married At First Sight saw Bryce Ruthven and Melissa Rawson choose to continue their relationship outside of the experiment—much to some’s dismay.

And while many also failed to believe the pair when they discussed wanting to start a family, turns out, that reality isn’t too far off.

In a cover shoot with New Idea, the couple have announced that not only are they engaged, but that Melissa is pregnant with twins.

Speaking to the publication, Bryce revealed that the sudden life milestones “all happened very fast”.

“It’s been a whirlwind, but we’re so incredibly happy,” Melissa added.

“People saw on the show how supportive and loyal Mel was. I’m pleased to say that’s transitioned to the real world,” Bryce said.

In the couple’s photoshoot, Bryce is seen cradling Melissa’s baby bump as the pair hold up a sonogram of their two bundles of joy.

As for how their relationship changed after the experiment, Bryce and Melissa revealed that it has “blossomed” since starring on the reality TV series.

“We’d already been married on the show and, with our relationship getting stronger, this just felt like the logical next step,” Melissa said, adding that she is still “deeply in love” with Bryce.

“We’re not doing this for anybody else, it’s about us—we’re cementing our love,” Bryce said. “Melissa deserves to be happy and I’m apparently very good at that, so I’m looking forward to making it all official.”

For their upcoming wedding, Bryce and Melissa did share the faces who are and most importantly, are not invited to witness their nuptials (for a second time).

According to Melissa, MAFS experts Mel Schilling, John Aiken and Alessandra Rampolla—the same people responsible for introducing the two—will “definitely not” be invited.

As for the contestants, Bryce admitted that he is “still close to Jason, he’ll be there and Cameron, Russell and James… we’ll see.”

Since Melissa will “have two babies by the time I walk down the aisle,” she insists that the wedding will be “low-key”.

The couple and parents-to-be are currently living in Melbourne’s Mornington Peninsula, and admit that they are “on cloud 9” over their growing family.

“So I was alone during the first ultrasound and she just came straight out with it—no warning,” she recalled about discovering she was having two babies.

“I couldn’t stop crying, it was very emotional. I think I said ‘holy sh*t’ seven times.”

No matter what one thought of their relationship onscreen, the pair do seem happy and with two babies on the way, we hope they are too.
