The scene was set just right at the The Coal Loader Centre for Sustainability, for the Bondi Born AAFW show.
The urban landscape offered a sleek, paired back location, jutting out into Sydney Harbour with a sweeping vista leading the eye out towards Greenwich.

The water-side location echoed the collection’s focus: a Sydneysiders’ beach dream, combining billowing silhouettes and drapery in high quality silks and linens.
The overall effect was a breezy collection that championed a simple but well-directed colour palette of pinks, blues, warm browns and neutral creams. The design was as interesting as it was minimal.

It was also all-encompassing, with looks that could take you from a salty dip (some gorgeous cut-out one pieces were on display), to dresses that could easily take you to a high-end cocktail night or even a wedding. It’s safe to say, the range was extremely versatile.
Bondi Born’s collaboration with State Of Escape on the project was a brilliant addition to the show, adding to that essence of relaxed elegance that permeates the Aussie style set.
