This ‘Friends’ Makeup Line Is The Answer To All Of Our 90s ‘Dreams

Each leading lady gets their own eye-and-lip duo

Remember when Phoebe screamed “my eyes, my eyes!” on Friends? Okay, so it was technically more of a ‘Monica-and-Chandler-are-together’ type situation than an ‘I-can’t-believe-how-good-my-eye-makeup-looks’ style one, but hey, considering the character just got her very own eyeshadow palette, we think it works both ways.

Yes indeed, Friends is finally jumping off of our screens and into our beauty bags, with Revolution (stocked at Priceline, FYI – keep a close eye on those shelves) releasing an entire range devoted to the classic sitcom. Cue the Janice-style reactions.

So, in case you’re not blessed with ‘unagi’, Ross’ label for a state of total awareness, we’re breaking down exactly what you can expect from the collection…

Revolution X Friends Limitless Eyeshadow Palette

F

The collection centres around a pretty amazing palette (or as we like to call it, “The One With All The Eyeshadows”). It’s equal parts versatile and hilarious with shades spanning from “Ugly Naked Guy” (a matte white) and “Janice” (a shimmery copper) to “Gunther” (a peachy champagne) and “Joey” (interestingly, a flamingo pink). Not sure you’re into coloured shadow? Pivot, pivot.

Revolution X Friends Rachel Eyeshadow Palette

r

Rachel’s personal palette features a femme round-up of pinks, plus a few gorgeous neutrals with shades named after all of her favourite things: shopping, Barney’s, and the ‘90s to name a few. Two of her infamous exes get their own colours too (with “Chip” reimagined as a warm-toned hazelnut and “Tag” a cooler cocoa) but it’s the shimmer-spiked buttercream called “On A Break” that we can’t stop laughing or looking at.

Of course a Rachel Green-inspired lipstick simply has to be her signature ‘90s nude. This stunning shade is the perfect blend of brown and mauve – we just hope she doesn’t let Ross apply it; that didn’t go so well the last time…

Revolution X Friends Monica Eyeshadow Palette

m

The colours that make up Monica’s eyeshadow edit call out some of her more, er, intense qualities: (“Clean” is a shimmery pearl, “Obsessive” is a matte peach, and “Frizzy” – hey, that was one time; Barbados is humid – is a velvety chocolate). On the flip side, though, there are also two sparkle-spiked shades that shout out her career and kids (billed “Chef” and “Twins” respectively), and a deep cherry named after her most prized possession (after she finally got rid of those boots, that is): the “Geller Cup”.

Revolution X Friends Monica Lipstick

m

Monica was also a member of the neutral lipstick appreciation gang, but her shade of choice was usually something closer to the brick-y brown side of things; think less pink, more orange. Do us a favour though; if you decide to stock up on multiples, store them like Monica would want you to…

Revolution X Friends Phoebe Eyeshadow Palette

p

Phoebe’s palette is (fittingly) a little more eccentric, with a mix of neutrals, mauves, and icy silver sparkly shades (not to mention, “Lobster”, a colour that looks exactly how it sounds, and pays homage to one of the show’s most classic Phoebe-isms). The rest of the shade names serve as shoutouts to some of her other iconic moments, such as “Science Boy” (AKA a reference to the time she mugged Ross and nicked his beloved DIY comic book) and of course, “Smelly Cat” (the song we’ve all had in our heads since 1995).

Revolution X Friends Phoebe Lipstick

p

As for the Buffay-inspired bullet, the colour is a deep berry (a hue she often embraced, especially in the earlier seasons). The shade’s most notable appearance in our book? The infamous Chandler seduction scene. We’re still chuckling…

The Friends x Revolution range is now available at priceline.com.au and in Priceline stores.
