If You’re Lucky, You Could Score Tickets To ‘Hamilton’ In Sydney For Just $10

This lottery is going to be huge.

Hamilton enthusiasts, listen up. Even if you’ve already got tickets to the much-anticipated musical, you might want to get involved in this. A new online lottery will see you scoring tickets for dirt cheap. And we mean dirt cheap.

According to Broadway World,  producers of Hamilton Jeffrey Seller and Michael Cassel have confirmed that a $10 ticket lottery will be available for the first Australian performance at the Sydney Lyric Theatre from 17 March 2021.

The lottery is via TodayTix, and will start at 12.01am Friday 5 March. The lottery will run until 1.00pm Thursday 11 March and will be for tickets to performances between 17 – 21 March.

There will be more digital lotteries, with new ones starting each Friday and closing the following Thursday for the upcoming week’s performances.

“25 years ago when I produced Rent, I introduced an in-person Broadway ticket lottery program whose goal was to provide affordable and accessible tickets,” producer Jeffrey Seller told Broadway World.

“I am proud that every show I have produced has continued that same tradition. Hamilton in Sydney is no different. I am thrilled that the Hamilton digital lottery will be available to Australian audiences.”

Keen to get on board? You’ll need to download the TodayTix app from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. Information on the lottery can be found on the Hamilton site here.
