Jenna Dewan Breaks Her Silence Following Split With Channing Tatum

The star makes a statement on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show'

Jenna Dewan is speaking about her separation from husband Channing Tatum, after almost nine years of marriage, for the very first time. The Step Up actress stopped by The Ellen Degeneres Show on Thursday, where this took an awkward turn when Ellen accidentally introduced Jenna by her married name.

Though she quickly corrected her mistake, the talk show host later apologised to Dewan, taking a moment to praise the graceful manner of her and Tatum’s public separation.

“I’m so sorry—I introduced you … it’s just such a habit,” Degeneres explained. “I just have to say, the way you and Channing are handling everything is beautiful—and for your daughter … the statements have been great. And I apologize. I’ve just known both of you for so long and I’m so used to saying … ”

Thankfully, Jenna’s World Of Dance co-judges Jennifer Lopez and Derek Hough were on hand to give Dewan a support hug. Jenna then took the opportunity to publicly address the split: “Thank you. Honestly, thank you and everybody for all the love and support. It’s truly so amazing.”
