Having been dubbed the show of the year in 2022, unexpectedly, we might add, The Bear season two is finally available to watch, re-watch and binge in Australia.
With minimal pre-release hype, the FX-made series had a relatively under-the-radar launch when it dropped on US streaming site Hulu in June last year. However, the gritty drama was met with instant praise, firmly putting it on our, and everyone else’s, aforementioned radars and watch lists.
Along with hype for the show also came some serious thirst from fans over Shameless’ star, Jeremy Allen White. The actor plays the show’s lead ‘Carmy’ and has undeniably set some hearts aflame in his portrayal.

What is ‘The Bear’ about?
The drama series tells the story of top chef Carmen ‘Carmy’ Berzatto, played by Jeremy Allen White, who leaves the world of fine dining and returns to his hometown to run his family sandwich shop after a tragic death of a loved one.
Per the show’s synopsis, “Carmy must balance the soul-crushing realities of small business ownership, his strong-willed and recalcitrant kitchen staff and his strained familial relationships, all while grappling with the impact of his brother’s suicide.”
Think: Anthony Bourdain meets Gordon Ramsay in a gritty and raw look at hospitality life rather than the sparkling, bright kitchens of MasterChef.
Who is cast in ‘The Bear’?
Starring alongside our new favourite heartthrob is Ebon Moss-Bachrach, best known for his role in Girls, as well as Ayo Edebiri, Lionel Boyce and Liza Colón-Zayas.
