How New Parents Katy Perry And Orlando Bloom Are Handling The First Few Weeks Of Parenthood

They can't get enough of baby Daisy

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom welcomed their daughter Daisy Dove Bloom into the world in August 2020. But even after having to postpone their wedding due to COVID-19, and a whirlwind birth, it seems the couple are adjusting well to parenthood and “can’t get enough of their daughter Daisy”.

According to Entertainment Tonight, the engaged couple are soaking up every moment they can with their newborn daughter.

An insider told the outlet, “Katy has been incredible with her daughter and is obsessed with her.”

“The couple and their love for one another has grown to a level they didn’t even expect since the arrival of their daughter,” revealed the source.

Bloom and Perry gave the honours of announcing Daisy’s birth on August 26 to UNICEF as part of a campaign to raise awareness for the lack of healthcare available for newborns around the world.

They wrote alongside the post:

As UNICEF Goodwill Ambassadors, we know UNICEF is there, on the ground, doing whatever it takes to make sure every expecting mother has access to a trained health worker and access to quality healthcare. In celebration of the heart we know our daughter already has, we have set up a donation page to celebrate DDB’s arrival.”

This is the couple’s first child together, with Bloom sharing custody of nine-year-old Flynn with ex-wife Miranda Kerr.

Back in May, Perry gave the world a not-so-subtle hint at the child’s name. She released her single Daisies just a month before revealing she was expecting a baby girl with a picture of Bloom’s face plastered with pink cake frosting.

The singer has also been praised recently for keeping it real by sharing some candid shots of her postpartum body just days after giving birth.

She gave us a glimpse of her go-to maternity wear and jokingly credited her hair and makeup looks to @exhaustion.
