Has Kendall Jenner had plastic surgery? For years fans have speculated whether the 28-year-old model’s features are natural or whether she has had plastic surgery. Despite always denying going under the knife, fans still continue to question whether Kendall Jenner has had a nose job and lip injections.
There’s no denying that her face has changed since we were first introduced to her on Keeping Up With The Kardashians. However, Kendall was just 13-years-old when she made her TV debut, and it’s not surprising to consider whether her eyes and face have just changed with age (or even hairstyles).
She first addressed the plastic surgery rumours back in 2017, as reported by E! News. “It’s all so exhausting. As a model, why would I have my face reconstructed? It doesn’t even make sense,” she wrote on her app. “It’s crazy because sometimes I feel like people just want me to lose.”
Younger sister Kylie Jenner faced years of scrutiny after continually denying she had lip fillers. After Kylie admitted to the cosmetic enhancements, Kendall received some of the backlash too, with many claiming she had also gotten her lips filled. The sisters, who are no strangers to controversy, still continue to claim it is “overlining” their lips with lip liner that is the secret to their fullness.
Kendall, who has always been regarded as the “natural” Kardashian sister, has been the face of Estée Lauder, a ProActiv ambassador and a leading figure in the new generation of supermodels, making her a target for those who believe she’s had plastic surgery.
While reviewing Jenner’s beauty transformation, it’s not hard to see why some are convinced. There are even fan-made photo comparisons claiming to be before-and-after plastic surgery shots. However, it could be a case of late-blooming for the star, who’s been in the public eye since she was just a tween.
Whether the Victoria’s Secret model has or hasn’t gone under the knife, which she has continuously denied over the years, it’s ultimately her decision.

Between 2010-2011, Kendall didn’t appear to change in appearance too much. Despite fans claiming they started to notice a difference in the Keeping Up With The Kardashian stars eyes, it could be down to the young models use of fake eyelashes.
2012

As Kendall’s modelling career began to pick up, the star was wearing her hair in a style that has become somewhat of a staple for her. Sleeked back in a bun, Jenner really starts to look older and more mature in her features.
It’s in 2012, aged 17, that her lips begin to appear noticeably fuller, especially her top one. Her eyes appear to have become more cat-eye, but in this image Kendall is wearing a pair of full winged eyelashes that could account for the enhanced look.
2013

In 2013, Kendall changed up her appearance by lightening her hair colour with streaks. Her lips continue to look full and rounded, while her nose appears to have thinned out compared to her 2011 and 2012 shots.
Kendall is, however, wearing a heavier makeup look than before, which could account for the star’s ‘smoothed over’ features.
2014

By 2014, Jenner is just about everywhere. KUWTK would reach one of its peaks, with over three million viewers tuning in to that year’s premiere episode. At this time, it’s not hard to see the Kardashian influence on Kendall, with the reality star sporting a contoured face, heavy lashes and much more makeup than fans were used to seeing on the natural beauty’s face.
However, her nose appears the same and her lips are still relatively thin. Looking close up on the photo below, it seems Jenner has drawn a nude liner above her lip line, attempting to give the appearance of a fuller lip.
2015

It’s hard to believe that Kendall is just 19-years-old here. Sporting bangs for the first time, the model appears much older than her years.
Jenner’s lips appear fully defined, much more so than normal, and her nose appears narrower from bridge to top.
However, considering the drastic change in hair style, Jenner’s thinner nose could be a result of illusion.
2016

In 2016, Jenner’s fans would continually criticise the star for going “too far” with her lip injections. However, the model continually denied accusations she had cosmetic enhancements, and maintained it was clever uses of makeup behind her plump lips.
2016 was also the year fans began to question whether the star had done something to her eyes and forehead, as her eyebrows than in previous years.
The star does start sporting much fuller and defined eyebrows, which became a huge Instagram trend thanks to the likes of models Cara Delevingne and Bambi Northwood Blyth. This left many believing that the thickened lines of her brows created an illusion equal to that of surgery.
It’s also important to note Kendall’s lack of fake eyelashes here, which could also attribute to her eyebrows appearing further away from her face.
2017

By 2017, Kendall’s lips appear fuller than ever, with her pout being continually compared to that of her sister Kylie Jenner. Despite being clearly defined in the picture below by a darker liner than gloss, there’s no denying Jenner’s lips became significantly larger since 2011.
With the contouring trend in full swing by 2017 too, it’s easy to see Jenner’s employed the technique down the centre of her nose to give off a thinner and elongated feature.
Jenner has also employed a much more natural eyelash look since 2015, making her eyes appear fuller and less cat-eyed than previous years.
2018

In 2018, Kendall was named the World’s Highest Paid Model by Forbes. The 23-year-old banked $22.5 million in the twelve months prior to June 2018 to top the year’s ranking.
Jenner appears to keep her lips as plump as the previous year, if not more so. Her nose appears significantly smoother than in previous years too. Plastic surgeon Miles Barry told the Daily Mail: “The bridge of her nose…could certainly have been smoothed surgically. The tip could well be smaller and rather more refined, again pointing to possible surgery. An alternative could be that she has had the much less invasive procedure of filler injected and this has smoothed out the bridge.”
Again, Jenner opts for a much more natural eyelash look than her younger self.
2019

2020

Although speculation that the elder Jenner sister had had a blepharoplasty (brow lift) had been rife for years, in early 2020 Jenner’s increasingly upturned arches and outer corners caused the rumours to reemerge sparking an onslaught of articles about the procedure.
Speaking to beautycrew about conjecture that the model had undergone a brow lift at some point in time, Sydney blepharoplasty surgeon, Dr Angelo Tsirbas said the treatment “involves the injection of fillers and fat the outer edge to elevate the brow” to create a temporary aesthetic change that can last up to two years.
Other outlets reported that Jenner may not have undergone a surgical brow lift, and instead may have opted for a thread lift, a non-surgical treatment that involves inserting small, dissolvable thread into the face to “lift” and pull up the skin, a look that creates the cat-eye appearance of “Instagram face”.
2021

By 2021, rumours of Kendall Jenner having plastic surgery were fully entrenched on the internet. But this was also a year when she shone, with distinct looks on and off the runway. While her own style showed a SoCal flair, she was all glam at events.

This public appearance by Jenner, in December 2023, caused a stir among fans and the media, with some people saying they found “proof” of plastic surgery, according to The Sun. In particular, they were critical of lines and tightness that is sometimes caused by poorly performed fox eye thread lifts.
Jenner’s beauty transformation remains up for debate, despite the star debunking cosmetic surgery theories via her app in 2017.
She explained that Kylie’s makeup techniques were responsible for her altered appearance after a Facebook Live event they did together.
“All of a sudden, photos of us came out with headlines like, ‘OMG Kendall got her lips done and got full facial reconstruction — look at her cheekbones, look at her nose!’ I was like, this is CRAZY. I didn’t even address it at the time. Because if I address it, people are going to be like ‘Oh, so she’s defending herself — she must be guilty,’” Jenner wrote.
Her sister, Kylie Jenner, had previously jokingly accepted responsibility for sparking the rumours after doing her makeup. “You guys, Kendall let me overline her lip today with lip liner and everyone thinks she got lip injections. I’m sorry, Kendall,” she said on Snapchat.
