A picture of a plain egg has officially overtaken Kylie Jenner as the most-liked post on Instagram.
The account world_record_egg was created ten days ago on January 4 with the sole purpose of challenging Kylie’s record.
“Let’s set a world record together and get the most liked post on Instagram. Beating the current world record held by Kylie Jenner (18 million)! We got this,” the page captioned the solo image on their page.
The Kylie Cosmetics mogul previously held the record at 18 million likes after posting an intimate picture with newborn daughter Stormi.
It was the first glimpse Kylie shared of her baby girl after giving birth to her last February, following her very private pregnancy.
Kylie took the defeat in her stride, sharing a hilarious reaction to her loss.

She posted a meme featuring a throwback Snapchat video of her cracking an egg onto the sidewalk, on a presumably scorching hot day, to see if the egg would cook. The meme’s caption reads: “Kylie when she sees the world record egg account,” and she captioned her pos,t “Take that little egg.”
The picture of the egg now boasts over 35 million likes.
Although the page creator(s) are currently unknown, as of today, the account’s updated bio reads: “Official world record holders of the most liked picture on Instagram.”
