Idris Elba

English actor Idris Elba took to social media to tell fans he had tested positive for the virus. “This morning I tested positive for Covid 19,” he captioned a video on Twitter on Monday, March 16. “I feel ok, I have no symptoms so far but have been isolated since I found out about my possible exposure to the virus. Stay home people and be pragmatic. I will keep you updated on how I’m doing 👊🏾👊🏾 No panic.”

Tom Hanks & Rita Wilson

Tom Hanks revealed on March 11 that he and his wife, Rita Wilson, have tested positive for coronavirus. The 63-year-old Academy Award-winning actor is currently in Australia, where he was about to begin production on the Elvis Presley biopic.

“Hello, folks. Rita and I are down here in Australia,” Hanks said in a statement. “We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches. Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers, too. To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the coronavirus, and were found to be positive.”

“Well, now. What to do next? The Medical Officials have protocols that must be followed. We Hanks’ will be tested, observed, and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires. Not much more to it than a one-day-at-a-time approach, no?”

The actor added, “We’ll keep the world posted and updated. Take care of yourselves!”

Heidi Klum & Tom Kaulitz

Heidi Klum and husband Tom Kaulitz are taking precautions after feeling “unwell” after returning home from travelling. The couple is self-isolating as they await the results of their coronavirus test. But despite their separation, the clever couple still found a way to be together. On Saturday, Klum posted a video of the pair kissing through a glass window, with herself on one side and Kaulitz on the other.

“Like many of you, I also have been sick all week and, unfortunately, my husband who returned from his tour a couple of days ago is also feeling ill. To be safe, we are staying apart until we get the results of our Coronavirus tests (that we were finally able to get today) back,” she said in the caption. “We don’t want to spread germs and risk others getting sicker… even each other! As much as I want to embrace him and kiss him, it is more important to do the right thing and not spread further.”

The first cases of a mysterious respiratory illness, what is now known as COVID-19, a form of coronavirus, began in Wuhan, China in late December. Since then, the virus has spread worldwide, leading the World Health Organization to declare a public health emergency, the first since the zika epidemic in 2016.
