Sonny Blake’s dad (aka Hamish Blake) and his comedy partner Andy Lee debuted their new television show, True Story, last night to ratings gold.

The show, which aired on Nine, attracted an average metro audience of of 1.282m and won the night, Mumbrella reports.
True Story stars Hamish and Andy and a host of other guests performers including Kat Stewart, Stephen Curry and Glenn Robbins. The premise? The beloved comedy duo chat to average Australians about—you guessed it—amazing true stories, which the actors then recreate.
And while True Story won the ratings game, the internet is divided about the show itself. Here’s what the armchair critics are saying:

Ahead of its premiere, the show sparked controversy when Nova host David ‘Luttsy’ Lutteral accused Andy Lee of ripping off his own concept from three years ago. But a Nine spokesman has denied the claims, saying the format was conceived “over a year before Andy and Luttsy met for a drink in New York,” news.com.au notes. True story.
