When former Playboy playmate Dani Mathers snapped a picture of a naked woman in the changing room of a Los Angeles gym, and posted it along with the caption โ€œIf I canโ€™t unsee this then you canโ€™t eitherโ€ the backlash was swift and strong.

Not only was the model banned from LA Fitness gyms โ€“ and condemned on social media for body-shaming โ€“ but Los Angeles police began an investigation after the alleged victim, who is in her 70s, came forward.

Now, Mathers has appeared in court and pleaded not guilty to a charge of invasion of privacy.

According to the Telegraph, her lawyer said, โ€œShe very much regrets what happened. She apologised for her behaviour and weโ€™re looking forward to resolving this case in a very fair manner.โ€

Recently, Mathers tweeted, โ€œI have taken full responsibility for the mistakes I have made & will continue to love myself & othersโ€ฆI wish this for the rest of you too.โ€

If she is convicted, she faces up to six months in prison and a fine.
