Pop super-star Rihanna had the world in raptures during her half-time performance at the 2023 Super Bowl.

The singer, who hasn’t performed live since 2018 or released a new album since 2016, blew us away with energetic renditions of some of her most loved songs including B*tch Better Have My Money, Umbrella and Rude Boy.

With so much speculation on how this long-awaited show would go, eager fans were also hoping they might be able to catch a glimpse of her son, who was born on 13 May 2022. Little did they know they would be finding out that the star is pregnant once again.

After living for Rihanna’s pregnancy dressing, we were quickly obsessed with her Super Bowl outfit, in a custom Loewe jumpsuit and custom Alaïa coat. The all-red outfit was designed to create questions, with the jumpsuit zipped down past the navel to reveal the star’s burgeoning bump.

The rumour mill began to swirl after CBS‘ Nate Burleson asked Rihanna about the halftime show and she simply replied, “I’m thinking about bringing someone, I’m not sure. We’ll see.”

Adding fuel to this fire was when the singer was up in the air on a floating platform. In between the choreography, put together by famed choreographer Parris Goebel, the star rubbed her belly in a gesture that people online suggested could was a pregnancy reveal.

Now, through her representative, Rihanna has revealed that she is indeed pregnant again.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter in an interview before the halftime show took place, Rihanna said she was initially hesitant about undertaking the project, given that she’d only just given birth to her firstborn.

“I was like, ‘You sure? I’m three months postpartum. Should I be making major decisions like this right now? I might regret this,’” she told the publication.

However, it was the entrance of her little one into the world that inspired her to take on this gargantuan task.

“When you become a mum, there’s something that just happens where you feel like you could take on the world — you can do anything.

“And the Super Bowl is one of the biggest stages in the world, so as scary as that was … there’s something exhilarating about the challenge of it all,” she said. “It’s important for my son to see that.”

Rihanna’s first son was conceived with her partner A$AP Rocky (the couple have been together since January 2020), and so far, we have only seen the bub on her TikTok page.

The singer posted a clip of him in his car seat, cooing to him “You tryna get mummy’s phone?” as he smiled up at her.

The adorable clip was captioned ‘Hacked’, but we still do not know the name of the little one.

We can’t wait to hear more from Rihanna and A$AP as they publicly celebrate the news that their baby boy will have a sibling.
