Scarlett Johansson might have one of the biggest Hollywood blockbuster releases of 2021, but the actress has other news to celebrate—she and her husband Colin Jost are reportedly expecting their first child together.
Page Six reports the Marvel star is expecting her second child—the actress already shares her six-year-old daughter Rose Dorothy with her ex-husband Romain Dauriac—with multiple sources confirming the news, which explains Johansson’s notable absence from press obligations ahead of Black Widow’s release on July 8.
“Scarlett is actually due soon, I know she and Colin are thrilled,” one source told the outlet, with another adding, “Scarlett is pregnant but has been keeping it very quiet. She has been keeping a very low profile.”
The couple is yet to officially announce the exciting news.
The couple wed in October 2020 with the pair breaking the news via Meals On Weals, who thanked the couple for supporting the organisation during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We’re thrilled to break the news that Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost were married over the weekend in an intimate ceremony with their immediate family and love ones, following COVID-19 safety precautions as directed by the CDC,” the post read. “Their wedding wish is to help make a difference for vulnerable older adults during this difficult time by supporting @mealsonwheelsamerica.”
Jost has previously spoken his desire to start a family soon. “It’s strange because a switch kind of flipped for me [with fatherhood], I don’t know, a year or two ago or something,” he told USA Today. “It’s definitely on my mind. It’s gonna be, I’m sure, very challenging, but I also think it could be really fun.”
