Justin Bieber’s Coachella performances (aka Bieberchella as the internet came to dub it) had fans, netizens and the entirety of the Z-illenial generation in a chokehold the past two weeks.
From the discourse around his laidback dude-just-scrolling-Youtube approach on the first weekend to the overwhelming delight as he played his debut hits for the first time in years, Bieberchella was everywhere.
To top it all off, the internet nearly imploded at the sight of well-documented Bieber fan, Billie Eilish being dragged up on stage to his song ‘One Less Lonely Girl’.
As the Coachella frenzy dies down the appetite for Justin Bieber live in concert remains, leaving many fans speculating if the ‘Baby’ singer will capitalise on the momentum to announce a tour.
Is Justin Bieber Going On Tour?
Eagle-eyed fans noticed that following his weekend performance, Justin Bieber’s website was updated to read: “Sorry, no shows currently. Click RSVP below to be notified when new tour dates are announced.”
We know what you’re thinking: ‘But this says the opposite of what we’re hoping for’.
However, if you ask fans, making an update at all and offering a way to be notified of an upcoming tour combined with the timing? Highly suspicious.
Some users online also claim that Justin Bieber’s Ticketmaster page has been updated with new imagery, however whether this is legitimate or photoshopped can’t be confirmed here in Australia with the local ticketing site still showing the 2022 Justice World Tour promo pics.
The biggest clue fans have locked onto came as Bieber closed out his Coachella set on weekend tour. As the singer left the stage he told the audience: “I’ll see ya’ll soon.”
An interesting choice of words, one might argue. (It’s us, we’re arguing it.)
Justin Bieber’s 2022 Justice World Tour was notably derailed by a series of setbacks, beginning with COVID-related postponements, followed by his June diagnosis of Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which caused partial facial paralysis and forced him to pause the North American leg.
Although he briefly returned to the stage for a handful of European shows and Rock in Rio, Bieber announced in September 2022 that he was stepping away from touring to prioritise his physical and mental health, with all remaining dates ultimately cancelled.
He was due to bring the tour to Australia, with stadium shows scheduled in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, but those dates were first postponed and never went ahead.
We can only hope that any future tour plans will see this former heartbreak rectified.
