Every so often a show comes along that swiftly sweeps us off our feet. Our most recent love affair? Netflixโ romantic comedy, Nobody Wants This. A nostalgic, TV dream, the romcom sees Kristen Bell and Adam Brody become an unlikely yet utterly lovable pair in a Veronica Mars X The OC crossover we never knew we needed.
In Nobody Want This, cynical and perennially single sex podcaster, Joanne, finds herself unexpectedly falling for unconventional rabbi, Noah. The chemistry is as instant as it is palpable, but Joanne and Noah (and us) are the only people who seem to think so. Family, friends and faith (or in the case of Joanne, lack thereof) all stand in the way of something great. As the name suggests, nobody but our two protagonists want this couple to last.
Fans now have reason to celebrate: the hit rom-com is officially returning for a second season.
If youโve binged your way through already, youโll likely have some burning questions about whatโs to come. Scroll on for answers.

When Does Nobody Wants This Season 2 Come Out?
On Sunday, June 1, Bell, Brody, and their co-stars Justin Lupe, Timothy Simons, and Jackie Tohn shared the exciting news during Netflixโs FYSEE LA Emmy event. Joined by series creator Erin Foster and executive producer Sara Foster, the cast confirmed that Nobody Wants This season 2 will premiere on Thursday, October 23.
Season 2 Of Nobody Wants This Cast
Season 2 will introduce some exciting new characters, including Brodyโs real-life wife, Leighton Meester. Sheโll guest star as Abby, Joanneโs middle school nemesis turned Instagram mommy influencer โ a role that promises plenty of drama and laughs. Additionally, Miles Fowler, known for Bottoms, will join the cast as Lenny, Noahโs Matzah Ballers teammate whoโs set up with Joanneโs sister Morgan.
The showโs leads, Brody and Bell are also, naturally, returning, because what would the show be without our favourite mis-matched couple? Justine Lupe, Timothy Simons and Jackie Tohn are all also expected to return.

Is There Going To Be A Season 2 Of Nobody Wants This?
If the above didnโt give it away, yes, a season two of Nobody Wants This has been confirmed! The official announcement came via Netflixโs chief content officer Bela Bajaria at the Bloomberg Screentime conference in Los Angeles.
There will be one small change however, with Bajaria also announcing new showrunners for the second season, Girls alum, Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan.
What Will Happen In Season Two Of Nobody Wants This?
The final episode of Nobody Wants This also left us with a lot more questions than answers.
Sure, Noah and Joanne chose each other above all else, with the hot Rabbi chasing her down to declare his love. But, what will he do about his potential promotion to Head Rabbi? Will Joanne convert to Judaism? Who knows.
Then, thereโs the building tension between Joanneโs sister, Morgan, and Noahโs brother, Sasha. Their secret friendship was finally uncovered by Sashaโs wife Esther during the final ep, which can only spell trouble in a potential second season. Stay tuned.
How Old Is Joanne And Noah In Nobody Wants This?
Joanne and Noahโs ages in Nobody Wants This are fairly ambiguous but estimated to be in the late 30s or early 40s.
In an episode of the Armchair Expert podcast, Kristen revealed her characterโs age was up for debate, โSheโs maybe 30ishโฆ add 12.โ
Adam added that the question of age was a concern when he was cast on the show.
โI said, โis anyone going to acknowledge or are we going to talk about the fact that weโre probably about 10 years too old to be doing this?โ he commented.
โIโm very comfortable with my age,โ he continued. โI just donโt want to pretend that Iโm 10 years younger. I want you to reconcile that youโre casting me and youโve got to account for the amount of time that this person has been on this earth and why they are in this position.โ

Is Nobody Wants This Based On Erin Fostersโ Life?
Erin Foster is the brilliant and hilarious mind behindNobody Wants This, which is, in fact, based on her own love story and life. Once as cynical as her main character Joanne, Erin revealed she found the comedic value in failing at love.
โI was always a very cynical writer because I was a very cynical person,โ she tells Tudum, โand thatโs where all my comedy came from and where my comedic perspective came from โ failing at dating and failing at relationships and things blowing up and finding the humor in it.โ
That was until, she met her now husband.
โThis show is based on the only good decision I ever made: falling for a nice Jewish boy,โ Foster says. โBut I realized that being happy is way harder than being miserable โ thereโs nothing to complain about. So, I created this show based on all the ways that finding the right person can be so hard.โ
