The first full-length trailer for season three of The Summer I Turned Pretty has just dropped, and it sure looks as though our beloved Belly will stay true to team Jeremiah.
Based on the third book in author Jenny Han’s best-selling series, We’ll Always Have Summer, fans who have read the trilogy may be shaking their heads in disagreement. However, Han has already revealed “”there are definitely changes” this season.
“There are surprises,” she tells EW, “And there are things that aren’t exactly like the books.”
Could that include who Belly picks at the end of The Summer I Turned Pretty’s final episodes? We’ll have to wait and see, but the new trailer sure doesn’t look good for team Conrad.

We already know the TV adaptation will pick up four years after season two, rather than two years like the book.
Prime Video’s logline reveals: “It’s the end of her junior year of college, and Belly’s looking forward to another summer in Cousins with her soulmate, Jeremiah. Her future seems set, until some core-shaking events bring her first love Conrad back into her life.
“Now on the brink of adulthood, Belly finds herself at a crossroads and must decide which brother has her heart. Summer will never be the same… ”
Summer I Turned Pretty Season Three Trailer
The first trailer for season three show’s little of Belly’s turmoil between her two loves: Conrad and Jeremiah. Instead, we see Jelly as the couple are affectionately nicknamed, stronger than ever.
“I loved him in a way that you can only really do the first time around,” Belly’s heard saying of Conrad before going on to add: “But that’s the past. Jeremiah, he’s my future.”
We also see the young couple sit down to tell Belly’s mum, Laurel, that they’re getting married. And, it doesn’t go down well, to say the least.
It does look however, that Belly makes it down the aisle…
Meaning Behind Taylor Swift’s Songs
TSITP is no stranger to a Taylor Swift song, and fans are already dissecting the meaning behind the use of ‘Red’ and ‘Daylight’ in the season three trailer.
In the first half of the video, ‘Daylight’ plays as we see glimpses of Belly and Jeremiah’s relationship before the music switches to ‘Red’ and we see Conrad still pining over his first and only love.
“I once believed love would be burning red, but it’s golden, like daylight,” Belly once said.
While it sounds a lot like a tally in the team Jeremiah column, you need to look closer as the lyrics. Fans think it’s a sign Belly actually picks Conrad who has always represented ‘burning red’ like Swift’s lyrics, and as the song goes: “moving on from him is impossible when I still see it all in my head, in burning red.”
A hint Belly still and will always love Conrad? We think so…
The Summer I Turned Pretty Season Three premieres July 16, 2025, only on Prime Video.
