Once known as ‘sparkling burgundy’, sparkling red wine has been experiencing a revival in Australia—and the marie claire office. Think everything from sparkling Shirazes to Merlots.
As Decanter notes, Lambrusco—a sparking, light-bodied red made in the Italian region of Emilia-Romagna—has also made a comeback.
And while we feel bad about betraying our summer love Rosé, it’s nice to know there’s another bubbly, refreshing drop we can down.
