Married At First Sight’s Ines Basic has fronted court to hear her sentence to one charge of drink driving.

On Tuesday, March 26, the former MAFS contestant arrived at the Cleveland Magistrates Court with her lawyer. She was sentenced to 70 hours of community service and told by a magistrate to “get some perspective on life” after pleading guilty to mid-range drink driving.

She has been disqualified from driving for three months.

According to reports, Basic was returning home from her sister’s house in Redland Bay when she rammed her vehicle into her sister’s car which was parked in the driveway.

It is alleged she later told a female officer to “f–king arrest me, arrest me b-tch” when they arrived.

She then gave officers a false name of “Vanessa Dorothy Ines”.

Basic’s lawyer Ivan Sayad requested her conviction not to be recorded so his client could travel to the US where she had media opportunities lined up.

The magistrate told Basic she acted like an “absolute brat” and her behaviour had been “disgusting”, the Sydney Morning Herald reports.

“It sounds like you have been living in a bubble of artificiality,” Magistrate Deborah Vasta said.

Community service would help her “get into reality” and understand the “real fabric of society”.
