Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s fiancé, Ken Urker, has died at age 33. Ken was the father of Blanchard’s daughter, Aurora.
According to TMZ, a family member found him unresponsive on his birthday at a home in Louisiana. The source also alleged that Gypsy texted Ken “Happy Birthday” but did not get a response.
The police confirmed his death in a statement to E! News: “We were notified about this at 6:15 p.m. CDT and responded. He was found dead upon arrival. At this time, we are continuing the death investigation.”
His cause of death has not been revealed.

Gypsy Rose and Ken Urker first connected in 2017, after he wrote to her while she was incarcerated. Their correspondence eventually became a close friendship before the two started dating and eventually became engaged, but they split in 2019.
Blanchard later married Ryan Anderson in 2022 while still in prison, but the relationship ended in separation shortly after her release in December 2023. She reunited with Urker weeks after filing for divorce, rekindling the connection they had maintained over the years.
Anderson told E! he found the sudden split with Gypsy surprising, saying, “I’m still trying to figure out, how did it happen so fast? I’m blindsided about how fast things occur. It’s like a snowball and I haven’t been able to stop it. It’s just one of those where it’s gonna continue to roll.”
In 2024, Blanchard said her reunion with Urker felt different, crediting the time apart with helping both of them grow. She revealed to E!, “It wasn’t until I filed for divorce that I kind of really realised that that spark, that connection [with Urker] is even better than I expected. And we’ve grown a lot. I’ve matured. He’s grown. And so I think right now is the time in our lives that it’s the right time, right place, right everything.”
Gypsy gave birth to their daughter on December 28, 2024, exactly one year after her release from prison.
