Jennifer Lopez And Alex Rodriguez Share Their First Couple Photo Since Breakup Rumours Began

Are they still together? Let's investigate

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez have been the subject of breakup rumours for a while now, but that hasn’t stopped the couple from sharing a sweet selfie together. Well, a selfie in the name of a sponsored post for yet another vitamins company.

The couple is currently in the Dominican Republic, where JLo is working on her upcoming film titled Shotgun Wedding. The reports of a breakup after their near four-year-long relationship began in mid-March. That said, the statement they made at the time said breakup speculation was inaccurate and the couple was “working through some things.”

Some online pundits believed JLo’s sharing photos from her set of herself in a wedding dress were a pointed move to distract from the rumours circulating about the couple. While all of this is naturally unconfirmed, some reports claim that Arod cheated on JLo with Southern Charm star Madison LeCroy.

For what it’s worth, LeCroy denies the pair ever meeting but has admitted to having a few innocent phonecalls with each other as acquaintances.

A source at the time explained that JLo and Arod “never officially broke up,” adding that, “She’s working in the Dominican Republic and he’s in Miami so it’s tough seeing each other especially with quarantining and COVID, but they want to try to stay together.”

The couple became engaged in the Bahamas in March 2019 after two years of dating and were forced to postpone their wedding date twice due to the pandemic. The wedding is now on hold.

“Alex flew to the Dominican Republic, and Jennifer was excited to see him in person,” a source told People. “They want to spend time in-person to figure out their life together.

“She and Alex have a lot of issues they hope they can work through, but they both seem willing to do whatever it takes to stay together.”

This is somewhat contradictory to other reports from anonymous sources. One reason that an official split between JLo and Arod could take some time is that their professional lives are as intermixed as their personal lives. Beyond integrating their families (both JLo and Arod have children from former partners) the pair also have several business ventures together, as well as co-owning a number of properties.

“They’re tied in their business worlds so it’s not a cut and-dry breakup,” says the Lopez source. “It’s taken a while for them to even think about untangling it all.”

“They invested a lot into their relationship. An official split would be devastating on so many levels.”
