Today Khloe Kardashian introduced us to the newest member of the Kardashian family, revealing the name she has bestowed upon her daughter, True Thompson.

While Khloe didn’t stick with the K tradition, she did however stick with alliteration for the first and last name.

Many fans on social media were quick to point out the irony following the cheating allegations that surfaced just days before the bub was born but Kris Jenner was there to give us the 4-11.

Mum-ager (is she now also grandmum-ager?) took to Twitter to reveal that the name True is actually also a family one.

“FUN FACT… my Grandfather’s name on my Dad’s side was True Otis Houghton….my real Dad’s name was Robert True Houghton,” she wrote.

While Kris opted to give all her daughters names starting with the same letter; Kourtney, Kimberley, Khloe, Kendall and Kylie (brother Robert was named after their father, Robert Kardashian), none of the kids have followed suit. Another fun fact for you though: Kris’ birth name is Kristen Mary Houghton and her sister is Karen, so we actually have Kris’ parents to thank for that.

The next generation of Kardashians however have all decided to ditch the letter K and make their own unique mark when it comes to their little ones. Unique being the operative word.

Kourtney was the first sister to join the mum club way back in 2009 when she welcomed a son with partner Scott Disick, and while everyone expected them to name the baby using the letter ‘K’, the pair went off script and named him Mason.

“Right before he was born, I told my aunt we were thinking about going with that for a name. She told me that Mason means the same thing in English that Kardashian means in Armenian—stone worker,” Kourtney told MTV. “Another aunt told me my great uncle used to use the name Mason when he made dinner reservations, because Kardashian was too long.”

The couple then welcomed daughter Penelope in 2012, and reportedly just liked the name.

In 2014 they welcomed their third child, Reign in 2014, with the name one that had been on Kourtney’s list for each baby.

In 2012 Kim joined sister Kourtney in the mum club by giving birth to daughter North with Kanye West.

Rumours circled during her pregnancy that the pair were planning to call their baby North, and Kim told Vanity Fair after Pharrell Williams and Anna Wintour both said they liked it, the couple decided to go for it.

“A little while later Anna Wintour came over and asked the same thing. She told us ‘North is a genius name.’ Kanye and I looked at one another and just laughed. I guess at that point it sort of stuck.”

When Kim was pregnant with baby number 2 in 2015, the couple reportedly referred to the baby as “Saint” because she had such a difficult pregnancy. “He was a blessing,” a source told E!

This year Kim and Kanye welcomed baby number three via surrogate, another girl who they called Chicago and while they are yet to confirm any specific meaning behind the choice, many fans have speculated it’s because Kanye grew up in South Side Chicago.

In 2016 brother Rob Kardashian welcomed his first daughter with then girlfriend Blac Chyna, the couple reportedly decided on the name Dream very early on. “Rob and Chyna had the name Dream for a long time,” a source told People. “They named her Dream because they’ve always said she’s a dream come true.”
