In the lead up to fashion’s most exclusive night fast approaches, one burning question continued to dominate celebrity group chats and pop culture discourse alike: Will the Kardashian-Jenners be at the 2025 Met Gala?
While they’ve become a staple on the Met steps – spanning sheer gowns, feathered trains and barely-there corsetry – this year, things looked a little more complicated for Kim, Kylie and Kendall.
With Kim Kardashian embroiled in a high-stakes legal case in Paris, Kylie reportedly on the outs with a certain partner of one of this year’s co-chairs (ahem Rihanna), and Kendall keeping a suspiciously low profile, we’ve broken down everything we know about the sisters’ potential appearances at the social event of the year.
Is Kim Kardashian At The Met Gala In 2025?
In any other year, Kim Kardashian skipping the gala would be akin to a glitch in the Met matrix. That is to say, entirely unlikely – especially since she’s been on the guest list every year since 2012. But in 2025, Kardashian has something else to worry about: an ongoing legal case tied to her 2016 Paris robbery.
The trial, which kicked off in late April, involves 10 men accused of stealing over $10 million worth of jewellery from Kim’s hotel room, while they held her at gunpoint. The Skims founder is set to testify in Paris on May 13 – just eight days after the Met Gala takes place in New York.
While Kardashian had been relatively quiet about her guest list status, it was possible she’d skip the carpet to focus on the case. Given the emotional weight of the trial – and the global attention it’s receiving – she would have been forgiven for sitting this one out.
But who are we kidding? Is there a world in which Kim-“Queen of the Met Gala bit“-Kardashian misses an opportunity to make a sartorial statement? We think not – and as the Red Carpet continued to gift us look after “Tailored For You” look – there she was.

Pearls – another standout accessory from this year’s red carpet – draped lavishly over her curves, while a cowboy hat tipped just so, offered an air of mystery.
Layers of intricate jewels that mimicked lacework wrapped her decolletage in a nod to her sister’s own accessories lineup (keep scrolling for more).
Is Kylie Jenner At The Met Gala This Year?
Kylie Jenner has been a Met Gala mainstay since 2016 (who could forget that glittering Balmain number?). But this year, initial reports suggested that her name might be missing from the guest list – and not by accident.
According to the rumour mill, another Met standout, and certain co-chair’s beloved, may have had a few words with the organisers, suggesting a Kardashian-Jenner-free red carpet for this year’s event.
While the whispers weren’t loud enough to confirm either way, as with anything spread on the social web, it was enough to send the fans into full speculation mode. After all, Kylie has delivered some of the Met’s most memorable moments in recent years – whether you’re on team baseball hat, or not.
Lo and behold, the youngest Jenner settled the sartorial score by adding the 2025 Met Gala to her list of crowning couture moments, with a black halter-neck Ferragamo gown.
The corset bodice with exposed boning was covered in sequins laid in a herringbone pattern across the bust offering a textural touch to the otherwise monochrome moment. The same detailing adorned continued on below, split into a thigh-high cut that showcased her embellished slingbacks.
Sadly, Timothée Chalamet was nowhere to be seen – but the night is still young!
Is Kendall Jenner At The 2025 Met Gala?
Of the three sisters in question, Kendall Jenner was by far the safest bet this year. The model has been a red carpet fixture since 2014, and she’s rarely missed a year – always serving ultra-polished, high-fashion looks that prove her runway chops extend to the steps of the Met.
Reports from fashion insiders suggested Kendall was on the confirmed attendee list for 2025, and as a favourite of designers like Givenchy, Prada and Versace, Kendall’s Met appearances are usually less about spectacle and more about leaning into the couture credibility.
This year, Jenner opted for a Corporate-Core-inspired two piece by Torishéju Dumi, which, according to the brand’s press release “took inspiration from Gladys Bentley and the elegance of 1920s Harlem Renaissance women.”
While this isn’t the first time we’ve seen Kendall in a softer suiting look, the true beauty of the Kardashian-Jenner collective worked even better as a group.
