The red carpet may have wrapped hours ago but the Met Gala is far from over.
After plates have been cleaned and bathroom selfies taken, the A-list exit the ball and make their way to the various afterparties scattered throughout New York City. While we wouldn’t go so far as to say these ensembles are more anticipated than the main event, they’re often just as extravagant and equally eye-catching in their own way.
This year, the red carpet delivered a plethora of vintage, swathes of custom and plenty of florals, courtesy of Zendaya, Lana Del Rey, Nicole Kidman, Kylie Minogue and more. While the post-event looks offer a chance for attendees to let their hair down (and hopefully, unlace those Mother of Pearl corsets), that doesn’t mean they skimp on the shine.
