The jury’s verdict in the trial against Sean “P Diddy” Combs has been revealed. The music mogul faced five charges including racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion and transportation to engage in prostitution.
Was he found guilty or not guilty? It was both, actually.
After three days of deliberation, the jury found Diddy guilty on two counts relating to prostitution but not guilty on the count of racketeering and not guilty on two counts of sex trafficking.
The not guilty verdicts mean Combs has avoided a sentence of 15-years to life in prison. But, what does his remaining guilty charge mean for potential jail time?
When Will Diddy Be Sentenced?
While the verdict against Sean Diddy Combs has been delivered, his sentencing by Judge Arun Subramanian who oversaw the trial, still remains. The U.S. District Judge will make the final deliberation on Diddy’s sentence relating to the two guilty counts for transportation to engage in prostitution.
Judge Subramanian set Diddy’s sentencing for October 3rd, 2025 at 10.a.m, meaning we won’t have answers until then.
Will Diddy Go To Jail?
We’re yet to learn if or how much jail time Diddy will face for the two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. According to the United States Sentencing Commission, the charge has a 10-year maximum penalty. With Combs facing two counts, he could face up to 20-years behind bars.
Per ABC, during the trial the prosecution argued for a sentence between four to five years for the crime, while defense attorney’s for Combs argued a sentence of roughly two years would fit the guidelines of the law.
Diddy has already spent nine months behind bars, that time of which would count towards his final sentence.
Did Diddy Get Bail?
P Diddy was denied bail by the judge following his guilty conviction on the two counts.
Comb’s attorney, Marc Agnifilo, argued for the rapper to be released on bail, saying: “He should be released on appropriate conditions. … He should be able to return to his home.”
However his bail request was denied with the prosecution arguing Combs posed a flight risk.
Cassie Ventura, Combs’ ex who testified against him in the trial also penned a letter pleading for his bail to be refused.
The letter stated that Diddy “is likely to pose a danger to the victims who testified in this case, including herself, as well as to the community.”
