On September 4, the murder trial of Lindsay Clancy ended in a mistrial after the jury failed to reach a unanimous verdict.
Throughout the proceedings, Lindsay’s ex-husband, Patrick Clancy, faced intense scrutiny from the court of public opinion, with many social media users purporting that he had a role in the deaths of their three children.
Now, Patrick is appearing on CBS News’ 60 Minutes to discuss “his grief, his memories of his children, and the baseless conspiracy theories that flooded social media since his ex-wife’s murder trial.”
In a preview teased on social media, Patrick sat down with CBS News correspondent Ross Douthat, revealing that he still talks to his children “all the time”.
“What do you say?” Douthat asked.
“Help me. All the time,” Clancy replied.
Reaction to the preview clips has been divided, with some commenters questioning his decision to speak publicly. “This is so on point for a narcissist,” one user wrote, while another described the interview as “the last thing” they would do.
Others, however, defended his choice to share his experience, with one commenter writing, “When he’s quiet, you blame him. He wants to say his side too, you still blame him.”
Clancy’s new wife, Dr. Rachel Danis, a Manhattan-based infertility specialist, was also seen in the preview clip, sitting beside Patrick. The pair wed in an intimate ceremony in April, ahead of Lindsay’s murder trial.
Their upcoming 60 Minutes appearance will mark the first time the couple have spoken publicly together since the mistrial.

Patrick Clancy’s 60 Minutes interview will air on Sunday, September 20 at 7pm ET for US viewers on CBS and Paramount+, which translates to 9am on Monday, September 21 (AEST).
