Unless you live under a rock, you would know that for the last two weekends in February, Australia welcomed Taylor Swift to perform her Eras Tour in Melbourne and Sydney.

The sold-out stadium shows were – and this is not an exaggeration – all anyone spoke about for roughly a month.

It’s no secret. Australia loves Taylor Swift.

But does Taylor Swift love Australia?

Apparently, she does.

Travis Kelce, American footballer and Taylor Swift’s boyfriend, recently revealed Taylor’s true feelings about our fair lands.

Speaking with brother Jason Kelce on their podcast New Heights, Travis offered this valuable insight:

“Taylor’s very fond of performing in Australia because of the crowds over there and how into it they get,” he said. “Shout out to Australia for showing up, showing out.”

Travis joined Taylor in Australia for one night of her Sydney Eras Tour.

“Sydney did not disappoint,” he added.

“I’m pretty sure the crowds over there… They’re already rowdy. The Australians like to have a good time, I like to have a good time. They were just like a little bit louder than the Argentinian crowd.”

Taylor has also remarked on the loudness of her Aussie fans, writing on Instagram that the crowds were “louder than I thought humanly possible”.

“Sydney, Sydney, Sydney, Sydney… what a whirlwind of endless magical moments with you. I’m so grateful that we got to be the first tour to play Accor Stadium 4 times. I’ll never forget singing with Sabrina, the chaotic acoustic mashups, and the crowds that were louder (singing AND screaming) than I thought humanly possible,” she wrote. “I want to thank all of the Aussie fans for being so positive and passionate, so funny and wild and FUN. Love you forever.”

Following her Melbourne shows, Taylor wrote:

“Melbourne, what do I even say to you after over 288,000 of you came and danced with us in the last 3 nights ??! That was unforgettable. You were on another LEVEL. Thank you for the memories. I’ll revisit the ones from this weekend often.”

On his podcast, Travis Kelce also addressed the fact that he and his bestie, Ross Travis, who accompanied him to Australia, accidentally paid tribute to beloved Australian TV series, Bluey

For Swift’s concert, Travis and Ross arrived wearing a blue and orange shirt respectively, leading many to compare them to Bluey and Bingo from the ABC series.

During Kelce’s brief time in Australia, he and Taylor visited the Australia Zoo in Western Sydney – marking Taylor’s second visit to the zoo during her stay.

Kelce and Swift, both 34, have been dating since September 2023.
