Is Meghan Markle entering her influencer era? That’s what her unexpected return to the acting world would suggest after she appeared in a coffee commercial.
The video, posted to Instagram to promote Clevr adaptogenic drink sees the founder of the brand, Hannah Mendoza take the camera behind-the-scenes of the business to meet the staff, in which Meghan Markle appears in every shot.
First, she’s a busy packer in the warehouse, then she’s an office member of the digital team and finally she’s a member of the fulfillment team, passing a drink to Mendoza as they sit down for a meeting.
“Wait…is that Her Royal Highness,” one fan commented on the video.
“The new hire deserves a raise and bonus and benefits. She is a multitasking Queen. Clearly,” another added.
The advertisement was captioned, “Damn, you’re keeping us BUSY right now! Had to call in some reinforcements” using the ‘eye emoji’.
It seems Meghan is that reinforcement. She also features on the website with a testimonial that says she drinks Clevr beverages and that they’re “one of my favourite ways to start and end each day”.
Markle has been a long-time advocate for the brand, apparently influencing her neighbour, Oprah, to get into the drinks.
“My neighbor Meghan (yes, that one) introduced me to this woman-led wellness brand. Not a day goes by without me sipping on the golden latte from this kit, which also comes with chai latte mix and a little frother. You can add the mixes to smoothies for a flavor boost, too,” Oprah says of the beverage.
Now, this may not have been the way that we expected Meghan to return to her acting roots, with the Suits alum consistently rumoured to be making a big-screen return over the last year.
Yet, we won’t deny that the concept is hilarious, and Meghan, with her drama skills, pulled it off perfectly.
