A NSW Woman Has Been Charged Over The Shooting Of A Five-Year-Old Boy

He was treated for a wound to his hip

A 37-year-old woman has been charged in connection with the shooting of a little boy in a home in Sydney’s south west.

The boy—just five-years-old—was shot in the hip at a house in Lurnea at around 9pm on Monday, May 1.

Nine News reports he was playing with his sister in a bedroom at the time.

The boy was taken to Liverpool Hospital by his parents and received treatment for the wound to his hip.

On Thursday, the woman was arrested and charged with hindering an investigation into a serious indictable offence and possession of an unauthorised prohibited firearm and ammunition without authority.

She was granted bail and is expected to appear in court later this month.
