Priyanka Chopra Opens Up About Sophie Turner And Meghan Markle

We're all ears

Priyanka Chopra has close ties to two of the most talked about women of the year: the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, and newlywed/Queen of the North/Game of Thrones star, Sophie Turner. Jealous? Us? Never?

Now, in a new cover interview, the actress is opening up about both her close royal connections and her new sister-in-law, plus how her life has been since she married her husband, Nick Jonas.

Revealing that she calls the Duchess of Sussex the nickname, Megs, Priyanka said her friend has ended up exactly where she was meant to. “Megs… she was always meant for big things,” she told ELLE UK.

It’s amazing that she found that calling and has the platform to be able to do it. By the time this comes out, she will have a baby [Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor] – it’s so amazing how lives change.”

She continued, “I’m a big believer in taking charge of your life, but there’s got to be something bigger that puts us into the circumstances that we are put in. Destiny has a weird way of helping you to find your calling.”

Over the weekend, Priyanka attended the wedding of Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas, meaning Sophie is officially her new sister-in-law. Speaking of her connection to Sophie and Kevin Jonas’ wife Danielle, whom have dubbed themselves the ‘J Sisters’, the actress said, “I’ve never had a sister, so it’s really nice to have Danielle and Sophie, and just inheriting the family by proxy.”

Elaborating on her friendship with the Game of Thrones star, Priyanka told ELLE UK, “Sophie is super talented, super funny, and we have the most fun when we go out together. She’s incredible. By the time this comes out, she’ll be the new Mrs. Jonas–I can’t wait for her to join the family.”

On her own high-profile relationship, Priyanka said that she didn’t realise how much being married would change things. “I’d never realised having a husband and a boyfriend are such different things,” she explained. “When you say your vows, it’s like, this person is my family, and it’s the family I chose.”
