But back to the mascara: the wand is shaped like an hourglass (fun fact: it’s inspired by Marilyn Monroe’s curves) and designed to separate, coat and curl lashes in one quick flick.
First impressions: unlike some formulas, which seem to dry instantly hard or sticky so you can’t go back and forward with the brush, this one glides on smoothly and you can easily apply multiple coats.
And that’s why it’s a winner: if you’re the kind of girl who has a day mascara and night mascara (*puts hand up*) you will love this product: one coat gives a lo-fi look that’s perfect for work or days when you want to look like you haven’t really tried; three coats gives the kind of va-va-voom best reserved for after dark.
The formula added volume to my lashes without looking remotely clumpy and lengthened and separated like a charm. It also comes in a waterproof version, which I love just as much for beach days (although I find it quite difficult to remove compared to other waterproof formulas I’ve tried).
My verdict? Lust has turned to love - as someone who tends to try a different mascara every time I need a new one, I had a lot to compare this product to, but it still comes out on top. Consider our relationship exclusive.
